In fact, it is labeled as being one of the best romantic comedies of all time, although, there is certainly more romance than comedy in the flick.

Hugh Grant is one of the leading characters in the movie, who plays the prime minister in the film. Emma Thompson is his sister and Alan Rickman her husband. Liam Neeson is a friend of Emma Thompson in the film. As if these big named stars are not impressive enough, Colin Firth also joins the cast, as does Laura Linney.

           With a cast like this one, there is no reason the film shouldn’t have been fantastic, and it was. The cast does a good job of bringing their games up to an equal level, without overshadowing any other actor or actress involved. They are all equally talented and it shows in the film. In addition, they all do well to make the various storylines grab your attention and make them interesting enough to keep you interested even though other storylines are occurring simultaneously.

The stories flow together, seamlessly, which is important for a movie with many stories going on at one time.
