Hitch :
Is Will Smith ever involved in something where he doesn’t look like the coolest guy around? The guy can touch rock and turn it into gold. He is a truly gifted individual that lives his life just as one would expect him to do. Hitch was a huge success for Smith. The film itself was hilarious and the comedic timing between Will Smith and Kevin James was right on.
Cast
Joining Will Smith and Kevin James was Eva Mendes. Again, the chemistry with them all is simply wonderful. These three are not amateurs however and all have extensive lists of credits to be proud of. However, when they come together, you can really see how they all shine individually as well as in a great casting situation.
You might think that Kevin James would shrink when acting next to Will Smith, however he is stronger than ever and shows he is in the acting game to stay! Mendes and Smith are beautifully matched. Mendes has just the right amount of attitude in the film to keep Smith’s attention. Lucky for Smith that Jada is not a jealous woman because Mendes is as beautiful as ever in the film as well.
Script
The story line of Hitch is great! Smith plays the part of the date doctor well. He just seems like the type of person that would be a player in real life. You are never bored throughout the movie. From the dramatic allergy scene to the interesting banter throughout, it is a movie that you will really enjoy overall.
