My Best Friend’s Wedding :

           Once again, Julia Roberts made a smart move when she signed on to do My Best Friend’s Wedding. It was a little unusual to see Roberts as the “desperate” woman in the film, because she usually chooses roles that allow her to shine as the star. However, she did take the lead female role and did it beautifully.

          Again, Julia Roberts was clearly the star of My Best Friend’s Wedding. She really pulled out the comedic side that many people didn’t realize she had. She was witty and sarcastic, which is how most people think she could be in her everyday life. In addition to Roberts, Cameron Diaz did a fantastic job as the ditzy wife-to-be of Robert’s best male friend in the film. Diaz was beautiful and played her character well. Dermot Mulroney was wonderful as the best friend and man Julia Robert’s was out to snag from Diaz. Last but not least, Rupert Everett was a hilarious side kick for Roberts and the two had incredible onscreen chemistry.

          The writers for My Best Friend’s Wedding did the perfect job of mixing romance and comedy together. In fact, the movie was so light and fun to watch that many people watched it over and over again. The music was so fabulous that it caught the attention of many viewers and made “Say A Little Prayer For You” more popular than ever before. Overall, it never dragged and was full of surprises and laughs all the way through.
