Uptown Girls :

           About thirty minutes after you see Uptown Girls, you have already forgotten what it is all about. The whole movie should have been much cuter than it turned out to be. With big named stars like Brittany Murphy and Dakota Fanning, you would have thought the whole thing would have been a lot more entertaining. However, after the first few minutes, most viewers will be bored out of their minds.

           The problem with Uptown Girls is not the casting. It is the characters. The characters in the movie’s story line are horrid. The story line is not bad, it is just the characters in the story. There is not one leading character that anyone would really want to spend time with in real life. They are all spoiled people living a life that no one would ever live. Who would ever believe that someone would be as naïve as Brittany Murphy’s character would not even realize when her electric had been shut off?

           In any case, if you do make it through the first hour without turning it off, you will continue to be bored until the end. This movie takes so many dips and turns and goes from being dramatic to funny and back again too many times. Sure a bunch of girls might love sitting around watching a flick like Uptown Girls. In reality however, both Brittany Murphy and Dakota Fanning were wrong about this movie and although they tried their best, they could not save it from being a complete bore.
