She’s All That :

If you love a teen romantic comedy set in high school, like so many women do, then you might want to give She’s All That a try. The movie was a breakout film for stars like Freddie Prinze, Jr. and Rachael Leigh Cook. It is an adorable tale of how a high school popular kid makes a bet to turn Rachael Leigh Cook’s character into a popular girl.

Cast
Freddie Prinze, Jr. is the leading male character in She’s All That and he does a great job. He plays the role maturely for his character’s age and is quite charming throughout. Rachael Leigh Cook is outstanding in her leading female role and really brings out the character well. You could really believe that she went through the same circumstances, although in reality it is unlikely she did.

The rest of the cast of Matthew Lillard, Paul Walker, and Jodi Lyn O’Keefe all do a good job with their roles as well. Most of them have since gone on to bigger roles with lead opportunities, which was expected.

Script
The script does tend to get a little corny in places, which is not a real problem for many viewers. After all, if you are watching a high school love story, you can’t expect much more from it. However, all in all, the script is cute. It does tend to get a little predictable but the ending is charming and the characters end up exactly the way they should. Overall this is a movie teenage girls would love as well as hopelessly romantic women of all ages. However, most men would rather sit through a root canal.
