New Horror Movies Out On Dvd Based On True Stories

One of the new horror movies that is based on a true story and which is available on a DVD is The Haunting in Connecticut. This story is a 2009 supernatural, psychological horror story. The movie is the story of The Campbell family who relocate to Connecticut so that they can be closer to the doctor who treats their ill son named Matt. But their new home turns out to be a haunted one as the house used to be a mortuary before.

The inspiration of this story comes from the lives of the Snedeker family. This family also moved to Connecticut in 1986. They relocate to Connecticut due to proximity to their son’s doctor. Their son Paul suffered from cancer. He used to sleep in the basement and there was some embalming equipment which was discovered there and they used to experience some supernatural events, similar to those shown in the film. The movie seems to end on a note where Matt’s cancer starts remitting and the house was rebuilt and sold.

The above movie is available on DVD, which also features commentary by the Director, Peter Cornwell, Co- writer, Adam Simon, and some other crew of the movie. This was one of the most successful movies and had the second highest sale on its first weekend.

This DVD is definitely a must own for those who love horror flicks and when it is one of the most successful Hollywood flicks then the excitement of owning such DVD is totally different.
