Mystery is the other word for the late Agatha Christie, who is popular for her mystery novels. Her novels have been made into popular TV series. The character of Miss Marple is the brain child of Agatha Christie. |
In the first three series, it was Geraldine McEwen who played the role of Miss Marple that was broadcast on channel ITV1 in the year 2004 and from the fourth series Julia McKenzie took over the role of Miss Marple. It is expected to hit the small screen somewhere in 2009.
Let us have a glimpse of one such serial. Out of the sixteen novels featuring Miss Marple, one story is about Miss Marple's friend named Jason Rafiel. He expresses his last wish before his death that Miss Marple should try to solve a murder mystery that has or even has not occurred at all. The tickling problem here is, all she has is two tickets to start with to solve the mystery. The theme is about, no doubt, a puzzle that has to be solved. The serial is named ‘Nemesis’ which happens to be the one and only key word behind the crime that is to be proved if committed or not.
The second series of Miss Marple were republished as novels in collaboration with the serial airing television channel. This set of series had non-Marple novels too written by Agatha Christie, and in the third set there were two each of Marple and non-Marple novels.
Having become popular and also accepted by the fans, the fourth series would also be expected to continue in the same manner.
